Cinnamon Shore is a planned beachside community on the Gulf side of Mustang Island, laid out along State Highway 361 south of downtown Port Aransas. The dining and retail mix here is the densest concentration of businesses tied to any single Port Aransas neighborhood, which is why Cinnamon Shore is the one area of the island where a neighborhood directory reads almost like a small downtown of its own.

Multiple pools, man-made lakes, gathering lawns, and landscaped walking paths thread between the homes, and the community provides direct, managed access to the Gulf beach. Who it suits, and the trade-offs
Cinnamon Shore suits visitors who want a designed, amenity-rich beach community over the working-town character of downtown. It is quieter and more curated than Old Town, and it trades the harbor, the galleries, and the historic core for pools, planned streets, and a purpose-built Town Center.
The trade-off is distance. Cinnamon Shore sits several miles south of downtown Port Aransas, so the jetty, the harbor, and the broader downtown restaurant scene are a drive or a longer cart ride up the island. For a self-contained beach stay that is a strength; for a trip built around downtown, it is worth weighing. Rates, availability, and what each rental includes change constantly, so confirm the specifics with each property directly.
